Bodog Poker is among the more popular poker rooms on the Web that hasn’t stopped accepting US gamblers. This week the poker room has made news by awarding the first seats to the 2009 WSOP Main Event. The 2008 WSOP as you know hasn’t been finished yet, and now 3 participants of the next year’s poker event have waiting in the online aisles.

As the Main Event of the 2008 WSOP was coming to the end, Mini Series from Bodog Poker, tournaments that are designed to run at the same time to the World Series of Poker with 1/100 buy-ins, was drawing to a close as well. There are nine players left at the final event of the Bodog Poker Mini Series, and there are the top three finishers who have won a seat to the Main Event of the 2009 WSOP.

“Boswan”, “pokerfanx789” and “dudix” are currently a part of Bodog Team, and they’ve become the first internet poker players who won a seat in the 2009 WSOP Main Event. Each of them will get a VIP prize package of $12,000 ($10,000 is a buy-in to the 2009 WSOP Main Event, and $2,000 is for traveling, accommodations and cash for other players’ needs).

The Bodog Mini Series final event featured a tournament of 27 players. It consists of the best four Mini Series players, 18 gamblers who qualified via semi-finals, and five wild-cards gamblers randomly chosen from all the members of Bodog Poker who have taken place in 3 Mini Series events as a minimum.

Alwyn Morris, CEO of Morris Mohawk Gaming Group, said that “The 3 winning players of Bodog Poker Mini Series have an experience that they would hardly get in Las Vegas since they compete at poker stardom and millions dollars.”

There were totally 3,376 internet poker players who took part in Mini Series of Bodog Poker, winning $107,000 throughout the tournament events.
