David Singer Wins Full Tilt Poker Heads-Up Championship

Professional poker player, David Singer has beaten some of the very best in order to win the first $25,000 Full Tilt Poker heads-up championship.

The online poker world was filled with anticipation ever since Full Tilt Poker made an announcement regarding their heads-up championship involving a $25,000 buy-in charge. This event has made history as the online poker championship with the highest buy-in price. The few weeks preceding the Championship were buzzing with excitement in the online poker field. The tournament that began on Saturday May 24th included several professional poker players and other high stakes players. Some of the top players that participated in this event were Phil Ivey, Gus Hansen, Howard Lederer, Erik Seidel, Nick Schulman and Patrik Antonius. A highly competitive field of over 60 players battled it out on the poker table in the first ever such championship at Full Tilt Poker.

The final four players in this tournament were Andy Bloch, Brian Hastings, David Singer and Emil Patel. It is interesting to note that three out of the final four players are listed as Full Tilt Poker pros. In the finals, David Singer beat Emil 'Whitelime' Patel with aggressive play and received first place winnings of $560,000 for his efforts. Emil Patel earned $320,000 for finishing as runner-up.

This large cash prize was the second largest amount that David Singer has won at a poker event. In 2007, he received one million dollars upon winning the $10k no limit hold'em event at the Caesars Palace Classic. As one of the world's top professional poker player, David Singer continues to make a name for himself.

This poker heads-up championship created great excitement in the online poker arena and the event obtained a great deal of online coverage. Due to the success of this tournament it may turn into an annual event for Full Tilt Poker.
