The World Series of Poker (WSOP) has announced its schedule of events for the year 2008-2009 that are due to take place at different Harrah's owned casinos in the United States. The statement issued by the WSOP on 7 July, explains that "The high-stakes poker tournaments provide poker enthusiasts of all levels the opportunity to compete on a regional basis in a variety of events that include the opportunity to win a seat in the 2009 World Series of Poker Main Event in Las Vegas". The series for the year 2008-2009 includes 10 different places that will all take place at a different one of Harrah's properties.
